The High Jacking of Martin Luther King Jr.’s Message

On August 28th, it will be the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s March on Washington, and the country is in worse shape than ever. When national African-American leaders decided to reenter the spotlight and put themselves back on the map, they chose the death of a teenage boy by a Hispanic man with a “white” last name—probably thinking that a white individual caused this boy’s death, until pictures were released to the press, and alas this man wasn’t white, at all. But did this information stop the anti-white rhetoric? No. Did it stop the hate speech coming out of their mouths? No. Did it stop protests or riots? No. (But hey, if you are in politics and the media is making you relevant again—would you back off and say you were wrong??)
This is in no way a slight against those who love and truly care about this boy or the underlying historical issues, but this should be a wake-up call to all of us.
The MEDIA has played us. National leaders are using us.
And they are high jacking Martin Luther King Jr.’s message.
It’s time for every leader in the African-American community, especially the Christians, to stand up and teach the children of this nation what the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. taught ALL OF US. He did not believe in physical violence; yet today we have mobs of African-American youths killing white individuals and children in revenge for a perceived hate crime. They are being used.
It’s time to wake up, and see that we are ALL being manipulated.
National African-American leaders push forth their own agenda and use this nation’s youths for their own gain. They don’t care if the teenagers in these mobs or riots go to jail or prison for murder–just as long as they keep THEIR name relevant in the news media!
America. It’s time to wake up.
Teach your children in the WAY they should go, and they won’t depart from it—the Lord says. Teach America’s children in the WAY they should go, and they won’t depart from it. But what is being taught to our children? What is being taught from the pulpits? What is being taught from the news media, and the music, and the movies?? Is it the non-violent message of Martin Luther King Jr and prayer? No. It’s definitely NOT non-violence. And it is definitely NOT prayer. It’s violence. And it’s a take-whatever-you-want-from-the-white man’sor-government-because-nobody-cares-about-you-DOCTRINE. A false doctrine.
We the people of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Let me ask you this—is this doctrine of the white-man’s-government true? Is it true that white men and women in this country don’t care about young black men or women? Or that the Constitution and the flag don’t belong to them? Is that true? NO. That is a LIE from the PIT of HELL. And the only ones who can teach the children of this nation the truth——is YOU.
This flag flies for everyone. The Constitution belongs to every United States Citizen. It doesn’t matter that your relatives weren’t here when it was written–neither were most of mine.
CHURCH WAKE UP AND TAKE YOUR RIGHTFUL PLACE IN THIS LAND. BE SALT AND LIGHT AND OPEN YOUR MOUTHS AND EXPOSE THE LIES OF THE ENEMY.
And keep doing it. And keep teaching the TRUTH. And keep teaching it until our nation’s children get it.
I’ll leave you with an excerpt of Martin Luther King Jr.s speech “I Have a Dream” that he gave at the March on Washington fifty years ago. A lot has changed since then, but there is more work to be done—but nothing can be changed without the Church getting on it’s knees and asking the Lord what He wants them to do—and to say—so we can bring this nation and its youth back to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ—who is the TRUTH:
Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protests to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to distrust all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. They have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.
The freedom of every person in this country is tied to each other, and it is also bound completely in Christ Jesus. Without Him—we can do nothing. With HIM, nothing is impossible. Don’t let the life, death, and message of Martin Luther King Jr. be high jacked by those with a personal agenda.
I pray that you will have the peace of God today, and an urgency to do His will. Amen.
